Jennelyn is an independent curator who is interested in using her curatorial process as a way of deepening her understanding of artist's work, personal histories, and process. Through curating exhibitions she hopes to give audiences a closer look into human experiences and stories that aren't often told. She is interested in bringing artworks together that create conversations about contemporary society and all of the diverse stories that make up our world.
As an artist, program producer, and educator all of these practices inevitably inform her work as a curator. A large part of her curatorial process is developing potential engagement activities that can be created in conjunction with the exhibition in order to increase visitor's understanding of the artwork or message.
Jennelyn hopes that her curatorial work gives artists a platform to not only showcase their work but also connect and contribute with the local community.
